How to distinguish high glossy and RC paper

.Base material: paper paper coated film base paper can be chosen to apply in both two papers. Therefore, to differentiate from base material for photo paper company, the high gloss coated paper can also be called RC high gloss paper if the high gloss coated paper is also used coated film as the base material.

.Gloss: the gloss of high gloss coated paper is mainly due to the transfer of the casting cylinder, so the smoothness of the cylinder, temperature, pressure and other factors directly affect the luster of the product. RC high gloss photo paper is not cast through the cylinder, so the luster mainly comes from the resin itself, and is not affected by other external factors.

.Print drying speed: both are basically the same.

.Color reduction degree: the two are basically the same.

.Coating process: RC high gloss paper is made of wet coating from three to four times by multi section extrusion coating machine. The speed is faster, but the technology is more complicated. There are very few photo paper manufacturer proceed this technology at present. U.S.A. Three or four big enterprises in Japan, including MITSUBISHI, Kodak, have high technology level. Cast coated high glossy paper is made by coating once or two times in common photo paper factory. The speed is relatively slow but the technology is relatively simple. At present, the products have been produced in many places in China.

.Uses of two products: both two products can better reproduce the real color of the picture, it is very difficult to distinguish for non professional people from the product apparent of wholesale photo paper. So for ordinary consumers, the use value is basically the same, for professional companies may have some differences (such as the studio).
